Thanks for that! Very Happy
I've not heard about it before but have just read some bits on Boardgame Geek and they are saying a lot of good things!!!

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/29368

I've just ordered mine from the US ( it's my Birthday soon). With the way the £ is at the moment it works out quite reasonable even with Airmail prices!!!

Game arrived yesterday (Excellent delivery time from the US).
The contents are very professionally done, with the board sections etc being of a very good quality.
The minis are pretty cool too , being a little closer to 25mm than most of my stuff. The sculpts are quite lovely and I especially like the Zombies!!!
I'll give it a whirl tonight and see how it plays.

2 to 6 with players being the Zombies. There are 14 Zombies in the game, 7 brown and 7 green. So they Zombie player(s) control a set of figs.

This is the breakdown of player H (human) and Z (Zombie)

2 1H 1Z
3 2H 1Z
4 2H 2Z
5 4H 1Z
6 4H 2Z

Hi Guys

Well I got my copy yesterday from ThoughtHammer.

Wow this is a wonderful production, heavy duty box, nice graphics, the figs are wonderful, that gives me more Zombies and survivors to paint. I'll put up a photo to night of some of the plastic next to a HF and a RAFM (the sort of extreme range of figure heights I use.

Rules look derivative of Zombie Plague (not a bad thing). Weirdly the map is less detailed, you have walls and doors, but no windows, if you figure is next to a wall you can shoot out. Walls do not hinder Zombies, they just move through, assuming (I guess, they push through the same window you shoot out of).

I'll get to play it this weekend and report back.

OK here are my comparison shots. I got to stay home from work because I have to wait for my cat to get out of surgery (stupid bastard, got hung up on a chain link fence and ripped his skin like a old pair of jeans! Little blood, but a gaping hole, very weird. Cats is white meat!) Rolling Eyes

This is a shot of a HF Ray (a true 25mm) and RAFM Urban Survivor (a heroic 28mm) with the 3 Zombie variants from the game.

And here is a shot with the town sheriff figure.

I love the figures, the survivors are nicely posed and have a great look with reasonable weapons. The Zombies are dynamic and modern looking, they should paint up great! Very Happy

Totally agree about the minis, they are very nice indeed.
I think the plastic may be a little soft to take paint well but I might have a go!!

Game wise, I've played it once and thought it was excellent. The Survivors only just "scraped" a victory ( It could have easily been Zombie Chow Time!!). I like the use of cards for events and such like and you can really p*** your opponent by altering combat outcomes with cards. ( I think the sheriff lost his gun 4 times in total!!!)
Nice easy system to learn, excellent quality box contents and fun to play.......no complaints here!!!!

You know there is a secret to painting soft plastic figs don't you? Woodland Scenic spray glue. once the figure is painted, give it a shot of the glue as you would with a spray matt. The glue is flexible, so when the fig flexes, the paint may crack, but is held in place by the skin of glue so they don't chip away.

I recently purchased the Last Night on Earth board game, and it is a very enjoyable and entertaining game! Very Happy I like how the game is scenerio based, and the interchangeable corner tiles (as well as the Manor House middle board) adds diversity and randomness to the game, and adds to replay value.

This isn't a mini's related post, so I apologize if I'm on the wrong thread for this. I'm curious if anyone that is currently playing the game if you are successfully using characters from movies or other games, namely Ash, Shaun, Alice, or characters from video games such as Res Evil or Left for Dead?

Also, does anyone know of any good (and free or low cost) software for creating map tiles with terrain/building art?
