I really thought I had posted on this, it is really erhard... very similar to picking your favorite child... but here it goes in no paticular order.
Brom Stokers Dracula
The Wolf Man (Lon Chaney)
Aliens
Dawn of the Dead (either version rules)
American Werewolf in London
Beetlejuice
House of 1000 Corpses
Event Horizon
Shaun of the Dead
Saw (didnt think I would like it at all but loved it)
Malamute- 10-18-2006
In no particular order:
Hammer films 1960 - 1970, especially Horror of Dracula, Dracula Prince of Darkness, Vampire Circus, Twins of Evil.
Universal pictures 1930- 1940, especially Frankenstein and Dracula.
Bram Stokers Dracula,
Dog Soldiers,
Salems Lot (original version)
Dawn of the Dead(both verisons)
Fright Night (its a bit of fun!)
Blade 1 & 2.
I think Salems lot is probably the scariest of all the films I have seen. (The new one is not as good, but worth watching) I also found Dog Soldiers a bit on the scary side. as you can see most of my favourites are Vampire flicks and mainly period settings. I am not so gone on modern stories.

I'd have to say Evil Dead for the camp and a toss up between The Eye(original version) and Session 9 for being just plain creepy.

I'd have to say Return of the Living Dead or the Thing.

I'm a sucker for a zombie movie, can't say any ever scared me.
I rented allot of horror gore-fest type movie's in the 80's, so i think im
a little too used to seeing limbs ripped off or head's crushed.
I have to agree with The Thing, great movie. The one movie that scared me (pre rental in the 80's) THE EXORCIST!! Haunted my dreams for about a week, I was only 10. Some of the scenes in the SAW movie's allmost do it. The guy breaking his own ankle in the beginning of Saw 3, i know you coulde'nt see much, i guess it was more the sound.
