arggh... I had a picture of it next to the other ship I have. but can't find it anymore. It is huge. About twice the size of the gary chalk one. Not particularly useful as a moving piece but you can park it and use it as terrain. Its big enough for people to run around in on the deck.

Oh, and something fun, someone on frothers apparently contacted this fellow http://www.shiftinglands.com/resin%20boats.htm Pricing: subs are 3,50 each seven of them are 21 euro's dock pieces: 15 euro per set small boat: 3,50 medium boat: 8 medium boat with rigging: 12 merchant vessel: 27,50 buccaneer vessel: 100

Sneak preview of the ships half built. It's moved on since then and I've now begun painting it. http://www.nick101.f9.co.uk/T/Horror/SHIP.JPG (and yes those are Stingray ships in the background ...)

Lowtardog- 09-23-2006

Lovely job auton That resin ship was on TMP a few weeks ago he gave a step by step approach on how to build it very good

Pappa Midnight- 09-23-2006

Very Nice Auton! Look Forward to seeing the Finished Ship! :D PM

Pappa Midnight- 09-30-2006

Hey Necro, I've had a look at the Pyrates stuff. Have you actually got the Dread Phantom? I thought it looked oversize, but I haven't seen it in the flesh. Got any pictures? The StormChaser looks good aswell. PM

Pappa Midnight- 10-11-2006

I decided to take the plunge.... and bought a megablocks ship. I couldn't find the phantom so I bought the "Flying Dutchman" instead!! It'll need the nobbly bits sanded down, the cabin closed in at the back and a new higher deck BUT she's a beaut!!! TOTALLY UNSUITABLE for GAMING ( She's BIG!!!) but what a display piece she will be!!! Here's some Scurvy Crew to give you an idea of scale!!! I also dug out my old resin "Brig" which I've had for about 10 years ( Village Green I believe). She needs a repaint and some TLC but I thinks she's pretty fine! Finally a pic of some of my Scurvy Knaves. Some Ghostly Crew by Old Glory. Phew. I'm all pirated out! I'm off to paint some modern Zombies! PM

Fantastic PM and the VG ship looks good to me. The mega bloc ship is big but hey it is nice. Have you seen the 40mm pirates from Sash and Sabre? they would work well with that plus the HLSBC not a Jack Sparrow!!!!

Pappa Midnight- 10-11-2006

Thanks LTD! Just had a look at HLBSCo, love that "not" Jack Sparrow mini! The sash and sabre stuff is really nice aswell. Thanks for the heads up. Regards PM

Ah, thats sweetness right there PM! I've got a bag of those zombie pirates as well, they are quite cool if a bit crude. And I managed to dig out that photo of the worldworks ship I had. Its going to take a bit of effort to put together though! The smaller ship next to it is a cardboard one I made using the Gary Chalk template (but not following exactly) It should be about the same size. The smaller boats are from another World Works set, the pirate island one. bigger picture http://static.flickr.com/110/267394878_e77280eaec_o.jpg
