Route 66 continues:
Buttes: I have finished shaping them, I added a layer of spackel becaues I didn't like the texture of the pink foam. I had borrowed a nice hot knife tool from a friend, but in the end I found working with a dull buck knife and some very course sand paper served better.
I sanded the spackel after it dryed to remove my finger marks and any obvious globs, and then slapped on some glue and threw down some sifted cat litter, this should give me the scale that collects at the bottom of buttes.

The Dino Golf is going well, I went slightly mad today and added working glass doors, and cut in all the windows.
I'm going to lay down the putt-putt course before the building goes up, also I have to go the hardware store and get some more spackle, I used up my supply on the buttes.
Shots of the doors, ignore the purple frames, I used a toy clam shell for the glass and the packing for the frames ( it was a nice plasticized paper, worked great with superglue). The hinges are pins, and I had to cut in a matte board sill into each doorway for the hinges.
The front door:

The putt-putt door with the serving counter:

Finally to keep me inspired, I have -*test*-('") mounted the Terradactyl that will be the sign on the building. Here is the route 66 side view of the building, still needs the fake adobe poles, and details, but its a start! :D

Not sure yet what color to paint the building, may just be white, but I'm open to suggestions. I have thought of doing a really cheesy mural on the backside (putt putt side) with a jungle and volcano, not sure if I'll have the time. I also need to add a AC box to the back of the building.
The Road not so good. I tried to paint it and screwed up, so I have repaint tomorrow.
