Possibly new survival horror game coming by 13th Realm Hey All,
I have begun working on a set of modern survival horror rules that are to be printed and available as a pdf. These rules are to cover multiple creatures, not just zombies. It also is to include an advancement system for your characters. Currently I am deciding if it is better to use Rattraps system from their games .45 Adventures, Gloire, Fantastic Worlds or go with rules from scratch. I know the owner of Rattrap and We are working out the details.

1. Is if there is anyone familiar with Rattrap games on this board and would it make a difference to you between buying the rules if they used the rattrap system or not?
2. For those not familiar with Rattrap would you be more likely to buy the rules if they are by an established rules set or if they are something entirely new.
Thanks
-Audrey

I cant answer point one as I havent played them but have heard good things about them :)
as for point two, I think you cant go wrong if you build on a successful mechanism. Horror gamers are spoilt for choice with rules either specific or variations. IMHO you will need to stand out to capture a lot of existing gamers, some, like amny on the group will buy the rules as another alternative.
A specific slant etc is needed

I have got .45 adventure and it seems like a nice system. The game is designed for small number of figures which would be good for most monster style games.
Except zombies. If you want a horde of zombies, you might have to simplify the stats for them.

Now I am not a Cthulu officianado but this type of background would seem to fit with the Rattrap image?

Do you mean using the 1920's Pulp background? No it will not be Pulp style. It will be Modern.
