Ahhh.. They do say " Great Minds...." If you do get some I'd love to see your results. One thing to keep in mind is that they only come as sets and some of the figures are really quite dire! ( There was a post about which ones make good Zombies , with some priceless input from Lowatardog!) A nice cheap " Wheelchair" Zombie is the "Xavier" hero clix figure. You can pick them up for pennies and as they're plastic they're easy to "Customise" :D PM

I stil dabble with warhammer ans there was no miniature safe from my cutters...lol! <y problem is that I paint them so dirty and rough to get the feel .....it looks as though I havent spent much time on ehtem or that I m a terrible painter!! bah Heh My cold war stuff arrived this morning and I start them later after I have a bash at some scenery with my other half as I didnt get a chance last night.

Pappa Midnight- 08-04-2006

Hey, "Dirty and Rough" works well with Zombies  If in doubt use lots of blood! It can cover a multitude of sins! The Cold War minis are a real hoot to paint. The thing I like about modern minis compared to GW stuff is that pretty much anything is OK, colour wise. I have spent many an evening painting lots of identical figures to make up a unit ( AAAAARRGGGHHHH!) only to have them defeated the first time I fielded them. Zombies look better if they're all different! When you've done some , post them. I'm always interested in other people's work. Good luck with the terrain, it's nice to see your other half supports your hobby ( rather than being baffled like mine!) Just as a matter of interest, what rules do you use? Or are you more interested in the modelling side? PM

Aaah a friendly forum.........unusual and yet pleasant! Thanks for the support you lot. My other half not only helps make stuff,...she paints, cleans figures, does bases and even plays!!! What a gal! Rules I have the streetfight, dead walk again and also the All things zombie sets. I am working my way through them to see what I like the most then Ill combine where I need to ! I love all aspects of the hobby, my interest always hover on the dark and evil side of things however. Necro

I have to say I prefer Dead Walk again quick and easy where lots of people can play. ATZ is OK but the tables are a bind which could be just me but this goes for all their rules. As DWA is similar to Combat Zone I like the AP approach and use CoZo with future/gangs/Sci FI

Pappa Midnight- 08-06-2006

I'm with Lowtardog on this one. ATZ is really quite good but what's with a table for everything you do! Combat Zone is a neat little game and easy to convert to most things. Dead Walk is ideal for a one off Zombie fest! Hey Karl, you need to get out in the sun more! That is one mad looking Avatar you've got! PM

Lowtardog- 08-06-2006

LOL, Its form the Reign of the Dead book cover. Good set of books very much your Zombie fest written by the guy who does the comics Len Bernhart

Here's some more WestWind Civilian conversions. Left to right: "Big Momma" , "Elvis Impersonator" (you can never have too many!!) and "Career Zombie" ( complete with mobile phone!) Hope you like them! PM

matakishi- 08-12-2006

:D :D :D You'll never paint a straight miniature again will you, everything you buy will become 'zombiefied' :D :D :D

fatgoblin- 08-12-2006

nice! fav of this batch for me is the career zombie! Nothing like a girl in a power suit. whats the manufacturer of the building in the back btw?

Pappa Midnight- 08-12-2006

Matakishi I think I may have contracted some sort of virus.......Every mini I look at , I get the urge to paint it green and splatter it with blood..... Thanks FG. I was originally going to paint the business woman as a survivor........but my hands went to the green paint pot , and then the blood.....so much blood....... Any how, the building is "Melissa's Deli" by Walthers. I have also got their "Route 66" set on order. Here's a link to a supplier: http://www.wholesaletrains.com/OProducts2.asp?Scale=O&Item=BUILDING Alternatively here's the O scale Structures on Walthers Website http://www.walthers.com/exec/search?category=Structure&scale=O&manu=walthers&item=&keywords=&instock=Q&split=30&Submit=Search I haven't done anything to the Deli yet . I'll strip it down, paint it and cut the doors so they can be opened. Here's a pic as it is: Regards, PM

Loving the scenery mon ami. I also like the way that biker has a kind of "So you dare Kick me out cos of dress code look... would you? about him

fatgoblin- 08-13-2006

thats a pretty nice building!

Pappa Midnight- 08-14-2006

I started to paint some civilians to use as "Innocents" and one got accidently infected by the "Z" virus  I Couldn't help it! Honest! Heh!Heh! PM

matakishi- 08-14-2006
