Night of the Living Dead 3D
A new remake for George Romero's classic "Night of the Living Dead" is coming. And it will be in 3D. Written by Robert Valding and directed by Jeff Broadstreet the film already is in post production and the crew is currently working on the music, sound work and the CG visual effects shots.
According to Fangoria Sid Haig ("The Devil's Rejects") will portray a new character Gerald Tovar Jr., a pyrophobic mortician who harbors a dark secret in the film. Brianna Brown ("Adam and Eve") plays the female lead "Barb". Joshua DesRoches is Ben, Greg Travis ("Toolbox Murders") is "Henry" Cooper and Ken Ward plays Johnny. Robert DiTillio ("Cemetery High") plays as a priest who ends up as Zombie in the beginning of the movie.
Before you ask, George Romero is not part of this production. Jeff Broadstreet told Fango ,"We are re-imagining Romero's film, but we are remaining faithful at the same time. Robert Valding wrote a very clever script, and we tried to comment on society now the way the 1968 film commented on its own time".
You already can take a look at the trailer on the movies official site. Below you can read the official synopsis.
In this 3D chiller, Barb and her brother Johnny arrive late for the burial of their aunt - and walk straight into a nightmare. With Zombies on her heels, Barb flees the cemetary and is rescued by Ben, a local college student. The 2 seek refuge in the nearby farmhouse of the Cooper family, where the laid-back residents aren't remotely prepared to have their lives turn into a horrormovie. But Barb is destined for an even grimmer confrontation - with the dark secret of the pyrophobic motician, Gerald Tovar Jr.

While I think nothing ever will compare to the original trilogy, I personally dont mind remakes of this nature. Zombies like nice anyway
Its when they redo the "Italian Job" but have it sodding America that I get irritated with remakes
