I have ordered them and now my wife has a new Digi camera rather than my box brownie I will get some photos up

I got these today and they are nice clean sculpts, very cartoony but good character figures BUT boy are they big at first glance I thought they were 40mm, they tower over Copplestone castings figures and the fat blokes are huge I would put them at a scale of 36mm would fit with Jim Bowens stuff well :cry:

Wow 36mm! That is big! A real shame as I thought they looked pretty cool! :( I know I tend to go for 28mm ( or there abouts) but I have been thinking of some bigger minis for small scale skirmish or just to paint! I like the Jim Bowens stuff but they are a little too cartoony for me ( although they are fabulous minis). Have you seen these? http://www.hlbs.co.uk/series.php?id=37 I know they are 1:48 scale but I might get a few just to paint! :wink: PM

The HLBS stuff is nice their original range of moderns was a bit rough but these look good. I dont think I could get into 1/48th or 36/40mm in a period I already have though. I will probably paint these up and sell them on. I did have Jim Bowens border reivers which were big and also the Stargate team but as you said a bit cartoony and they just didnt float my boat. The black hat stuff has way too much detail to be Jim bowens stuff but does have some similar features? wonder if they were commissioned? not sure why they group these with the super heroes as they are ex crusader and will be dwarfed
