Gothic City Ruins by Pegasus- Painted pics added
Hi, Saw this and thought it looked pretty cool. It's 28mm scale and can be built in a variety of ways.I have seen a review somewhere but can't find it. Has anyone got one of these sets? PM

whoa...yeah, that is a bit of allright! That would be fun to build and paint. Did it mention a price anywhere? Also, I am leary of the "28mm" claim. I want to see some figures beside it!

I've just taken delivery of a set and have got to say " WOW!" It cost me £17.50 ( about $30.00) and it's VERY GOOD! I've constructed a "T" shaped building , 2 stories high and it looks brilliant. It's bang on scale for 28mm minis , being suitably big with large entrance doors. There are loads of bits ( gargoyles, lamps , torches etc ) to customize it with. There are also some internal supports to add removable plasti-card floors if you want. I'll post some pictures soon. As promised I've posted some pics of the building. I've included some 28mm figures for scale comparison. Converted Clix for Scale Copplestone Biker and Cold War Zombies for scale There are a few mold lines which I should have sanded first ( Impatient as always) but I think it's turned out OK. I'm going to work on an interior next. Cheers PM

very nice! Did you paint it before or after you put it together?

Hi FG, I "Dry Built" it first ( it stays together pretty well without glue) and sprayed it black. I then partially dismantled it so that large wall sections could be painted in one hit ( I think painting seperate pieces would give a patch work effect if you're not carefull). I used a sponge to apply the paint to stop brush strokes. The details like the lamps and door I painted seperately. I'm still not pleased with the mold lines I left ( like in the right door pillar) but I'm probably going to add some lichen to some of the wall sections which may mask them!!! Regards PM
