Freshly Painted
Here's my painted horror figures from November. Copplestone plague zombies - who else does a zombie in y-fronts? West Wind pumpkin horrors - lovely figures Day of the Triffids game anyone? These are from Wargames Supply Dump

They are very nicely done, I especially like the triffids :)

Very Nice Work Auton! The Zombies and Triffids are Excellent BUT I LOVE the Pumkin Horrors! They are creepy as hell! Love the muted colours on the bodies with the bright orange heads  PM

Nice stuff! What paints did you use on the pumpkin heads? I've always struggled to get the right colour for pumpkins. Those triffids make me want to buy some now.... Did you chop the stingers off them?

Cheers for the comments guys! As to the paints for the pumpkins, a white base coat followed by Games Workshop fiery orange. Red ink carefully painted into the seperating segments then finally some Vallejo golden yellow as highlighting.

lovely work! on all of them! how can you not like pumkinheads? plus its always fun to see zombies in pink skin rather than green :)

I agree with FG, it does make a nice change to see zombies with "Flesh" tones rather than green! I tend to use green for a few of reasons: It makes them stand out against any survivors on the table ( although the bloody, gaping holes might be a give away!) It pays hommage to the original Dawn of The Dead ( I believe this was done for the same reason, to differentiate between the characters and the Zeds) And the main reason, I've painted too many like that to change now!!!! Again, Excellent stuff ( More Please!!) I keep changing the skin colour of my zombies so I can paint them whatever colour I want! haha!

I like the fresh killed skin colour myself (think Shaun of the Dead) The picture doesn't show the skin tone exactly but I use Vallejo flat skin followed by an ink wash of blue mixed with green. Gives that nice slightly dead look. 8)
