FORTRESS FIGURES PLAGUE ZOMBIES....
I have seen some hidden at the back of pics... I have heard that they are nice.... I have heard they are resin and affordable... ...yet the website carries no pictures of them.... I cant find prices .....their website seems broke Anyone have them in their collection? Can I ask how much they cost and where did you get them? Photoes would be appreciated also Cheers dead ones N

I had some but they suffered a varnishing accident and so I gave them away. They are larger figures than most, over 35mm, and quite 'comedy' styled. There are three basic poses (all very similar) in the resin set which is $10 for 10 figures. There are metal personality ones that cost more and come in sets of two. I still have the metal ones but not painted. I think their website is down because of server provider troubles but if you mail them you can order. I have their carnivorous bunnies and alien eggs as well as the zombies. The eggs are green see-through reain with a flesh coloured face-hugger in them, very nice. You can see them dotted around in these pics (particularly in the death of Davros shot). http://www.matakishi.com/tmpgamesday.htm The bunnies, all are resin except the giant one, are at the end of this gallery: http://www.matakishi.com/zombiepics.htm To give you an idea of size, the small bases are 25mm across and the large base for the giant bunny s 60mm across. ********Here is the auction picture of the Fortress zombies********** http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2537&item=8809441846

Thats a great help my feline friend! Your gallery is inspirational!! loving the men in black with vehicles.... Where do you get them and what scale are the vehicles please? Cheers N

matakishi- 08-04-2006

The vehicles range in scale from 1:50 to 1:43, generally the larger things like busses and lorries are 1:50 or 1:48 and the cars are 1:43. However, car manufacturers tend to make them to 'fit the box' so the scale is not correct most of the time and you take pot luck as to whether they'll be too big. I buy most of mine off E-bay. There is endless debate as to what scale is 'correct' so you need to just decide what looks ok to you. Generally 1:56 is good for height but 1:48 is good for bulk because metal 28mm figures are not made to human proportions. If I can, I go for 1:50 as the best compromise.

Know what you mean. I bought a set of construction vehicles for £8 at a local bargain shop and they are smashing...(.will be prepped very soon and some pics on here.) yet Same manufacturer on same shelf in same scale had some other goodies and they were grossly out of scale

Lowtardog- 08-05-2006

Speaking of vehicles I picked a couple up at Wilkinsons last weekend Dickies Diecasts. I got a 1950s stylee vehicle for £2 for my Homies and a large German bendy bus which is ideal as the doors open and close - that was only £5. They look to be about 1/43. There were others but my wife began to frown while I kept filling up the basket with kids toys

NECROSTONE- 08-05-2006

You need an excuse. I have a young son ..........the amount of toys "he gets " while out shopping that end up on my work bench..... Like those cool Pyrates toys, the mega bloks ones with the undead? Not that they can be used in games,......they just look cool ahem....

Ahh you lucky swine I have 2 girls and polly pocket or my little pony dont lend themselves to gaming :0). Matakishi also gave a great link in an earlier thread for die cast cars, they are having a sale at the moment too

NECROSTONE- 08-06-2006

aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh which thread??????

Lowtardog- 08-06-2006

Cant find it but the make is Yat Ming and they do a range of 1950s/1960s vehicles. It could be on one of the horror Yahoo groups will try and find it

Lowtardog- 08-06-2006

Sorry it was PM with the Link and Carinabox.com but the site is closed until a new one is made :0(

Pappa Midnight- 08-06-2006

Yeh, Bummer, Carinabox have gone out of business. You can occassionally get Yat Ming cars on Ebay. I also really like Newray , they do some smart old American cars. If your not worried about waiting for shipping there's plenty of US style Die-cast on Ebay. Even when you take into account shipping costs they still work out really cheap. Most of the cars I've got are from overseas and it only averages about 1 week delivery! PM
