Don't feel bad, that's the same reason i have'nt posted any pics either. My girlfriend recently picked up a new camera, so hopefully soon. Nice pics keep it up.

Hey not bad at all!
I recognize some of the cultists from Hasslefree & Eureka but who makes the armed ones? Are they Pulp?
Pappa Midnight- 10-03-2007
Looking good Karl!!!
Lovely collection of cultists you've got there. I would hate to be the Pulp Hero who has to take them on!!!
Re; Cameras: I'm on my third Digital Camera at the moment and still can't get my pics just right. It doesn't like certain colours ( purples and some reds) and lighting is always a bummer. With the focus , buy a little tripod to get the camera as stable as possible.

Thanks Pappa,
Yes I do need to get a tripod and a couple of cheap spot lights, I did these outside at 17:00 so the light wasnt the best.
I am also trying to leanr the jargon as the instructions for the Fuji Fine Pix camera I have (actually my wifes) might as well be in Japanese :D
Taking the plunge in the LAF Picutre competition has made me realise I need to improve my piccy taking. Yours are the DBs
Speaking of slang I received the Killer B Geezers, they are lovely. I am not sure who the sculptor is, at first I thought it was Martin Baker but the features and ngles are too sharp for him, they also remind me a bit of Bobby Jacksons style?
I will have to ask

The instructions for my camera WERE IN JAPANESE!!!! Teach me to buy off Ebay!!!!!
With spotlights it can be a little hit or miss. If you use normal halogen bulbs they tend to "Yellow" the image. I'm in the process of getting some artist's "Daylight" bulbs which apparently are very good for that natural lighting look.
Has your camera got a flash? I find sometimes having very little ambient light but using a flash will give you good effects as long as there isn't a huge depth of field to the picture.
If it's a finepix camera you should have a little "Rose" symbol as a setting for close up work. You can get in quite close and still keep good focus but be careful the flash doesn't bleed out the image ( I sometimes put a filter on the flash made of tracing paper to take the harshness out of it.)
Those Geezer minis look sweet!!! I'll be ordering a set as soon as this postal strike is over.
I'd love to see some painted up ( lots of Paisley!!!)

Thanks for the tips PM :) I was told be the wife to use the Rose, yep daylight bulbs are better only because of my safety job advising guys who need colour recognition for electronics work
I will have a mooch around for a nice little tripod methinks

Also if you can use the timer on your camera, this will help stop the jitters as you press the button, and use aperture priority if your camera has it. This will increase your depth of field, if you crank you aperture way down. But you will need the tripod and the delayed shutter click to get this to work.
But I have take some pretty astounding pictures in low light conditions with these settings.
