Dark futures/alien invasion/mutants
See as on one else seems to post in here,i thought i would be cheeky and use it:). I like DARK FUTURE scenarios my main interest/ideas are along the lines of,say "stalker of cheynobel" "occult wars" "hellgate london".I like the idea of modern troops against "hell forces/aliens/mutants". I think there is great scope for gaming, say as an idea "a russian village plagued by say a mutant creature seen wandering through the ruins of cheynobel,it gives off a faint green glow.Modern russian troopers are sent in to investigate and kill/capture the beast!!" "Special forces sent into a research base, where experiments have been conducted on "captures aliens". I do like "dark technology" and mutants/zombies wandering around. I am sorry to pick on russia but its so vast it allows itself to be used for a dark future. I think i said this before i like the idea of "resistance fall of man" "F.E.A.R" that kind of dark future. Anyway thats the outlook i will stay with as it allows me great scope in modelling and building.I really need to finish off my ruins and post up the photos:). Cheers all, Tony:) PS. If anyone has any "Warzone" figures of the dark forces please let me know i would be willing to buy any:).Or any thing along these lines:).

I like the sound of it Tony! I agree that the setting sounds good. Slightly different angle but I enjoyed "Nightwatch" and "Daywatch" which used the gritty urban environment of Russia to great effect. What sort of stuff are you working on, models and terrain wise? Regards AL

I am using Cork tiles and basetex to produce my ruins,i have just a few items at the moment.I will get some photos put up:). Cork tiles are a really inexpensive way of "building" buidlings, for more info visit Matakishis site:):).Also if you need more info email me:):) tonyguy38@hotmail.com:):) My main project is a ruined village in the borders of cheynobel, with say deformed trees surrounding it,a dark forest setting with a silver moon shining down. I have this week off work so iam going to finish off my buildings,so i promise to get some photos up:):). Again a brilliant forum and the work is out standing i hope i can match the quality:):). Cheers Tony:):)

What's cool about gaming the Cheynobel area is that the town that was next to it is completely deserted. Saw a great documentary on it and it was a medium sized town and it's just all over grown and looks like some post apocalypse setting. You could do all sorts of gaming with that area. Brian

Thats what attracted me to the setting Brian:),all that lovely radioactive waste oh!!! the creatures that could mutate out of that:) (evil laugh!!). I read a report about the water which was so radioactive!!! that the fish had given to birth to giant mutant fish, where instead of throwing slices of bread you had to throw the whole loaf!!!.Also the trees could be seen glowing very faintly in the night, and that fresh growth was so deformed that scientists were at loss to explain what it was!!!. Wild dogs were living off any dead animals that they became radioactive through the food. Truly frighting and very thought provoking!! worse of all man-made!!! Cheers, Tony:)
