CARS- Playsets- Ramones Night club Added
Hi All, I've been following a few threads on other groups and the subject of the "Disney Cars Playsets" has come up a few times ( Karl I think you asked about them). I bit the bullet and bought "Ramones" body shop. It's actually a cool little model and makes an awesome bar/club. The neon sign lights up and the roof opens for easy access. There are no doors ( the openings are big enough for 1/43 cars to enter) so I'm going to make some up. The " Play" features can be easily removed ( Car ramp and compressor) leaving a nice area inside for minis. I'm in the middle of butchering.....converting mine and I'll post some pics. I got mine in Woolworths (£14.99 I think) but I believe they were on special for £9.99 , unfortunately I can't remember where! PM

Just finished a conversion of a Cars Playset into a Night Club. It really could do with a good paint job , but being "Lazy Incarnate" i've posted it pre-painting. I basically dis-assembled it and removed any "Play Features", added some swing doors and printed off a few bits for signs, poster etc. I made a bar and printed a pool table from Germy.

Here's a few different aspects.

Wow... how much did it cost ya for the playset?

I think they retail in the US for about $20.00 ( Walmart about $19.00) in the UK they are about £15.00 ( about $26.00). Ebay is also a good source! Cheers PM

oh, yah, I saw it once in a toy shop but didn't have enough money on me! I'm hoping some will be left when the movie dies down and it ends in the discount bins...
